Training Philosophy
Copper Point Kennels training philosophy is heavily rooted in the traditional British styles. Our mission is to have a passionate, high performing, and confident companion with the family and in the field.
We believe positive behaviors are established from the puppy stage and are built upon as the dog gets bigger and bolder. We limit the number of retrieves with a puppy; instead, choosing to focus on socialization and steadiness. Socialization is major component to build the foundation of a calm and confident gundog.
We believe positive reinforcement is the key to success—mainly through use of treats and praise. Dogs in our programs train in a variety of environments, from local parks to remote marshes. The dogs will learn, become educated and then will be able to demonstrate with confidence the objectives that are asked of them with the family and in the field.
Copper Point Kennels is driven to unlock the natural genetic traits of your dog to achieve the highest success possible.
