Genetic Testing
We ensure the highest health testing of our pups. This is a key component for our health guarantee and is of vital importance to our breeding program. Not all breeders conduct genetic tests and it is one of the reasons all our pups have AKC limited registration.
We utilize Paw Print Genetics labs to complete a 28 panel genetic test which includes detection for CNM, PRA, SD2, and EIC.
This is a cornerstone to our mission at Copper Point Kennels of providing premium British Labradors that meet our high standards for health, genetics, temperament and performance enhancing the lives of families and individuals for years to come.
Health Guarantee
We guarantee that your Labrador will have genetically sound hips (OFA excellent, good, or fair), elbows (OFA normal, and eyes (CERF clear) up to 26 months. We also guarantee your Labrador to be non-affected by CNM, PRA, SD2 and EIC. This guarantee includes genetic defects to hips, elbows, and eyes.
This guarantee excludes any type of injury that may cause damage to hips, elbow, or eyes. All testing will be at the expense of the owner, must follow OFA guidelines, and will take place between 24-26 months of age. Puppies will not be covered by this guarantee if there is evidence of injury or trauma, the puppy was raised in unhealthy conditions/environment, the puppy was not fed an approved diet, the puppy was spayed/neutered before 24 months of age, the puppy has been bred, or if the puppy has been continuously over exercised.
If your puppy fails to meet any of these health guarantees, you will receive a credit for original price of your puppy that may be applied to a replacement puppy. Before any puppy can be replaced, you must spay or neuter the pup who failed to meet the health requirements. We will not issue a money refund for any puppy, only a credit that may be applied to another puppy or a started dog for the value of the puppy price at the time of purchase. This guarantee applies to the original purchaser of the puppy and is not transferrable to subsequent purchasers/owners.
*IF YOU CHOOSE TO SPAY OR NUETER YOUR LABRADOR PRIOR TO 26 MONTHS, OUR GUARANTEE ON HIPS AND ELBOWS WILL BE VOID.
Puppy Deposits
We offer three male and three female deposits on each litter before they are born. The deposit locks in your pick/spot on the agreed litter and gender of puppy. All puppy deposits are non-refundable. They are transferable to another litter if for some reason a puppy is not available to you or a personal situation comes up. All puppies will be AKC Limited Registry, this is to ensure the highest standards of breeding for all Copper Point Kennel puppies.
